Girls Varsity Volleyball Opens Section Play With Sweep At Connellsville

The girls varsity volleyball team made its presence felt in its new Class 4A section with a 3-0 sweep at Connellsville to open section play.
The Mustangs won by scores of 25-17, 25-9, 25-13.
Mackenzie Marotta and Cassie Dojonovic led the team with seven kills apiece. Marotta also had six serving aces and 10 assists.
Mia Waitt had 11 digs and Lily Davis had a block.
The Mustangs improve to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the section.
The girls will host Greater Latrobe in the section home opener on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
