Late Goal Seals Win For Boys Varsity Soccer Over Peters Township

With just under eight minutes left in regulation, senior Eli Wastchak found the back of the net to lift the boys varsity soccer team to a 1-0 win against Peters Township in a Class 4A showdown.
The win finished a series of games against Class 4A powerhouses Upper St. Clair, North Allegheny and Peters Township where the Mustangs went 1-0-2.
Chase Eber and Brady McLaughlin combined for the shutout for the Mustangs, their second of the season.
The boys improved to 2-0-2 on the season and will be off until Sept. 5 when they open section play at Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m.
