Late Goal Lifts Boys Varsity Soccer To Section-Opening Win

As the newest member of Class 4A Section 1, the boys varsity soccer team opened up section play with a 2-1 win at Central Catholic on a game-winning goal late in the second half for the second straight game. The game was played at The Ellis School.
The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead before the Vikings tied it up in the last 10 minutes of the first half.
The score remained tied until the final 10 minutes of the second half when Plum put the game-winning goal in the back of the net.
Scoring for the Mustangs were Garrett Chandler and Bryce Bobich. Gage Adinolfi picked up an assist.
The win improves the boys record to 3-0-2 overall and 1-0 in the section.
They will be back at home on Tuesday when they host Gateway at 7:30 p.m. for Youth Night.
