The girls varsity soccer team jumped right into the fire with a pivotal road section game at Franklin Regional on Monday, and came away with a 2-0 win.
The Mustangs scored a goal in each half from Emily Grubich and Allison Porter. Olivia Bigger assisted on both goals.
Recording the shutout in goal was the tandem of Makenna Anderson and Malayna Smith.
The girls will continue with section play on Wednesday when they host Elizabeth Forward at 7:30 p.m.
