Boys Varsity Basketball Cruises To Section-Opening Win Against Hampton

The boys varsity basketball team led from start to finish en route to its 74-49 win against Hampton on Friday in the section opener.
The Mustangs jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back.
Max Grice led the team by shooting his average of 27 points.
It was a balanced effort as Will Beckner scored 16 points, and Mekhi Samuels and Owen Proskiin also scored in double figures with 11 pointd apiece. Proskin pulled down 13 rebounds for a double-double.
The win improves their record to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the section.
The Mustangs will play its first section road game next when they travel to Armstrong on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
