Boys Varsity Tennis Picks Up First Win Of Season Against Hempfield

The boys varsity tennis picked up its first win of the season and in section with a 4-1 win against Hempfield at Boyce Park.
The Mustangs swept the singles matches. At No. 1 singles, Avery Shaffer won 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2 singles, Miguel Iglesias Lazaro also won 6-0, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, Gavin Finke won 6-0, 6-3.
At No. 1 doubles, Lochlan Wallace and Quentin Caperton won 7-6 (7-5 tiebreaker), 2-6, 6-3.
The Mustangs will hit the court again on Wednesday when they travel to Greater Latrobe at 3:30 p.m.
