Balanced Attacl Leads Girls Varsity Lacrosse To First Section Win Against Greater Latrobe

The girls varsity lacrosse team had seven players find the back of the night on Friday night in its 17-4 section win against Greater Latrobe.
Ella Pedley led the offense with four goals.
Natalie Wagner, Carly Venanzi and Liv Iachini all recorded hat tricks.
Jadyn Dupal scored two goals and Shannon Ahrens and KK Osborne also scored.
Malayna Smith recorded 13 saves in net.
The win improves the Mustangs record to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the section.
They will host Penn-Trafford on Monday in another section game at 7:30 p.m.
Girls Varsity Lacrosse Holds Off Indiana To Win Home Opener

The girls varsity lacrosse team piggybacked their season opening win against north Allegheny with a home opening win against Indiana, 8-6.
The Mustangs had a balanced attack, led by Jess Hartley with three goals. Madi Stewart chipped in with two goals.
Also scoring was Ella Pedley, Liv Iachini, and Carly Venanzi.
The win improves their record to 2-0.
They will travel to Blackhawk for a non-section game on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Varsity Girls Lacrosse Opens Season With Win At North Allegheny

The varsity girls lacrosse team made a statement to open the season, going on the road and coming away with a 12-8 non-section win against North Allegheny.
The win against the Tigers could loom large when it comes to playoff seeding at the end of the season against a Class 3A opponent.
Carly Venanzi and Liv Iachini led the Mustangs with four goals apiece.
Ellea Pedley recorded a hat trick and Madi Stewart scored a goal as well.
Malayna Smith made 10 saves in net for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs improve to 1-0 and will host Indiana in a non-section game in its home opener on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
