Girls Varsity Volleyball Lands Three On Big 56 All-Section Teams

The girls varsity volleyball team had three receipients land on the Big 56 second team all-section team that was released on Thursday.
Seniors Lilliana Davis and Kennedy Filar and junior Mackenzie Marotta received the honors.
Davis finished the season with 93 kills, 252 attacks, 26 blocks, 16 assists and seven digs.
Filar had 32 aces, one kill, 20 attacks, 168 assists and 141 digs.
Marotta had 28 aces, 98 kills, 418 attacks, 14 blocks, 886 assists, 136 digs.
Girls Varsity Volleyball Goes Undefeated In Winning Plum Tournament

The girls varsity volleyball team hosted its annual tournament over the weekend, and came away without a blemish.
The Mustangs went undefeated and didn't drop a set.
In pool play, the girls defeated Penn Hills, Allderdice and Brentwood all by 2-0 scores. They defeated River Valley and Franklin Regional 1-0 in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectfully.
In the championship, the Mustangs swept Indiana, 2-0.
The girls will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Norwin in a section match at 7:15 p.m.
