Varsity Football Lands Eight On Big 56 All-Conference Teams

The varsity football team was well-represented when the Big 56 Conference All-Conference Teams were released on Monday.
The Mustangs received four members on the first team and four members on the second team.
On the first team were center, Frank Grazulis, offensive at-large Nick Odom, defensive end Darian Slaughter, and linebacker Darian Nelson.
In his first year at center, Grazulis was the glue to the offensive line for the Mustangs, leading the way in the run game for Odom and Company. Odomled the team with 789 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He had four games of 100-plus rushing yards. Slaughter had 37 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and led the team with 10 sacks and caused on fumble. Nelson had 44 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one caused fumble.
On the second team were guard Dorrian Anderson, wide receiver Sloan Humphries, defensive tackle Evan Corrigan, and defensive back Tyler Baleno.
Anderson was another key cog in the offensive line this year, and played on the defensive line as well, recording 30 tackles and 10 for a loss and two sacks. Humphries led the team in receiving with 38 receptions for 536 yards and four touchdowns. Corrigan had 15 tackles, seven for a loss, and two fumble recoveries. Baleno had 27 tackles and two for a loss.
