Boys Varsity Soccer Receive More Postseason Accolades

The boys varsity soccer team were well-represented on the Big 56 Class 4A Section 1 all-section team that were released on Thursday.
The Mustangs had five players land on the first team, three on the second team, and Head Coach Raf Kolankowski was named the Section Coach of the Year.
On the first team was, Garrett Chandler, Gage Adinolfi, Fedgy Fertil, Austin Kolankowski, and Andy Strasser.
In the regular season, Chandler had two goals and led the team with nine assists. Adinolfi led the team with 10 goals and added eight assists. Fertil had three goals and an assist. Kolankowski had five goals and an assist, and Strasser had five goals and five assists.
Making second team was Noah Smith, Marco Tommasino, and Zach Carnahan.
The Mustangs will travel to Altoona's Mansion Park Stadium on Saturday at noon against Cumberland Valley in the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals.
Boys Varsity Soccer Well Represented in WPIAL All-Section Team

The boys varsity soccer team didn't miss a beat in the regular season moving up to Class 4A, finishing the regular season with a 15-0-3 record and earning the No. 1 seed in the WPIAL playoffs.
For their efforts, they were also well-represented on the WPIAL All-Section team. Making the team were Garrett Chandler, Gage Adinolfi, Fedgy Fertil, Noah Smith, Marco Tommasino, and Austin Kolankowski. Andy Strasser earned honorable mention and Raf Kolankowski was named Coach of the Year.
Chandler had two goals and led the team with nine assists. Adinolfi led the team with 10 goals and added eight assists. Fertil had three goals and an assist. Smith had two goals and an assist. Kolankowski had five goals and an assist, and Strasser had five goals and five assists.
Raf Kolankowski led the Mustangs to their sixth straight section title.
The boys will open the playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 26 at home against the winning of Canon-McMillan vs. Gateway.
Boys Soccer Goes 1-1 In Kickoff Tournament

The boys varsity soccer team hosted its annual kickoff classic to open the 2024 season.
The Mustangs went 1-1, defeating Shaler, 4-1, on Saturday night, before losing to Upper St. Clair, 1-0 (4-2 penalty kicks), in the Championship Game on Sunday.
On Saturday, Gage Adinolfi led the offense with two goals. Also scoring was Eli Wastchak. Shaler scored an own goal.
Garrett Chandler, Christian Alter and Parker Berrott all picked up an assist.
The Mustangs will be back in action on Tuesday when they host North Allegheny at 7:30 p.m. in a non-section game.
